HISTORY
The Asia Urban Lighting Workshop began in 2017 as a regional platform for knowledge exchange and cooperation in urban lighting.
Since its inception, the workshop has addressed global trends in lighting, exploring how light shapes cities and impacts daily life.
Each year, it has brought together experts, city officials, and practitioners from across Asia and the World to
share valuable insights, best practices, and innovative ideas.
Building on this success, the workshop will evolve in 2025 into a broader and more impactful event under a new name — the Seoul Asia Urban Lighting Conference. With an enriched program and expanded international scope, the conference will continue to explore the role of lighting in
shaping culture, identity, and innovation in cities.
On this page, you can find an overview and photo highlights from past editions of the workshop.
